    The 2018 Canadian Women's Hockey League Draft is now a thing of the past. On Sunday, four young women with Manitoban ties each heard their names called by CWHL front office staff. Interestingly enough, all four players now belong to the Calgary Inferno.

    Following the announcement last week of longtime commissioner of the Canadian Women's Hockey League Brenda Andress, the CWHL has appointed Jayna Hefford as the league's Interim Commissioner, with a starting date of August 1st.

    Manitoba will host the National Women's Under-18 Championship for the first time in 2019, as the southern cities of Morden and Winkler will hold the annual spectacle next November.
