    The 2018 Canadian Women's Hockey League Draft is now a thing of the past. On Sunday, four young women with Manitoban ties each heard their names called by CWHL front office staff. Interestingly enough, all four players now belong to the Calgary Inferno.

    Following the announcement last week of longtime commissioner of the Canadian Women's Hockey League Brenda Andress, the CWHL has appointed Jayna Hefford as the league's Interim Commissioner, with a starting date of August 1st.

    After overseeing 11 hockey seasons as Commissioner of the Canadian Women's Hockey League, Brenda Andress - the first woman to ever play on a mens college hockey team - has decided to step down from her position within the league.
