The Winnipeg Jets' top prospects will be heading to Belleville in September for a rookie showcase event.

After previously holding their 'showcase' event as the Young Stars Classic in Penticton, B.C. the past eight seasons, Winnipeg will head east for the first time since returning to the NHL in 2011 for a pre-preseason rookie event. The Jets will face off against Eastern Conference clubs, the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens in a somewhat neutral location of Belleville.

The four-day event will run from Friday, September 6th to Monday, September 9th, and will be hosted at the CAA Arena in Ontario. The Jets will play Ottawa twice, while also facing off against the Canadiens one time. 13 of the Jets' 22 rostered players from the 2018-19 season participated in the annual showcase at one point.
