It was everything that John Paddock could have asked for, except a victory. After a productive season that saw his Regina Pats capture third place in the East Division of the Western Hockey League with a 40-25-7 record, the Pats' Head Coach then watched his team fall to the eventual league champ, Swift Current in seven games.

For both Regina Pats’ Head Coach John Paddock, and starting goaltender Max Paddock, the 2017-18 postseason has been as wild a ride as one could imagine. John – uncle of Max – had some tough decisions on his hands after falling to the Swift Current Broncos in the opening round of the Western Hockey League’s playoffs.

It has been an exceptionally strong run for The Rink Hockey Academy's Carson Lambos over the past two hockey seasons. On Monday morning, that hard work and determination was rewarded as the 15-year-old defenceman of Winnipeg signed a standard player contract with the Western Hockey League's Kootenay Ice.
