The Western Hockey League, in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League, has a long-standing relationship with Russia. Once again, the best junior hockey players from Canada will take on the best of Russia in a mini series in early November.

Early this week it was announced that the Western Hockey League's Spokane Chiefs had signed 2001-born defenceman Michael Ladyman to a standard player agreement.
