After back-to-back 80+ point seasons, the Brandon Wheat Kings have signed their third round pick from the 2017 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. 

Nolan Ritchie - a product of the Brandon Wheat Kings minor hockey program - put up an astonishing 91 goals and 173 points in 81 games over the past two seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings Bantam and Midget AAA teams.

After recording a 51-goal campaign for the bantam squad in the 2016-17 season, the 5-foot-9, 155-pound centreman followed up with a 40-goal year in his first season playing midget AAA. The 16-year-old also collected two goals and four points in five games playing for Team Manitoba at the WHL Cup this past year. 

Drafted 56th overall in the 2017 WHL Draft, the Brandon, MB. native is also the son of Wheat Kings' former Assistant Coach and current Director of Scouting, Darren Ritchie. Ritchie was recently named to the Top 50 Brandon Wheat Kings of All-Time.
