Winnipeg's Brady Valiquette has agreed to play Division III NCAA hockey with Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts for the 2018-19 hockey season. 

After spending the past three seasons playing for the OCN Blizzard of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, Valiquette, 21, will travel south for the upcoming year. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound forward previously played in the United States for the Phoenix Junior Coyotes in the Under-18 T1EHL for the 2014-15 season, where he picked up six goals and 14 points in 24 regular season games.

Valiquette dressed in 155 career regular season games for the Blizzard from 2015-18, collecting 33 goals, 71 points and 162 penalty minutes in the process. He also picked up four goals and 10 points in 26 postseason games in the MJHL. The former Winnipeg Shark will wear number 12 for the Bison next season. 

Nichols College plays in the Commonwealth Coast Conference of the NCAA's Division III. The Bison finished 2017-18 in fifth place, with an 18-9-3 record in 30 games played.
