Manitoba's Matt Calvert will be hosting his third annual charity golf tournament on Thursday, June 27th in his hometown of Brandon, MB.

Dubbed the 'Third Annual Matt Calvert Charity Shootout' sponsored by Outperforme & Dynamic, Calvert will look to add to the $90,000.00 donated from the first two runnings of the event (funds went to the Brandon Regional Health Centre's Palliative Care Unit and Kidsport in 2017 and 2018). Funds raised at the 2019 shootout will be presented to the BRHC Foundation.

The tourney will be held at Wheat City Golf Course on McDonald Avenue, before transitioning to the formal portion of the evening at the Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Centre, situated at 3550 Victoria Avenue, which will run from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M.

A number of fellow NHL players - of past and present - will be in attendance. Also featured on June 27th will be a live auction, music and many prizes, including autographed NHL sweaters from Patrik Laine, Nathan MacKinnon, Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid, as well as a trip for two to the 2020 Stadium Series.

Calvert, 29, a former member of the Brandon Wheat Kings, spent the 2018-19 season with the Colorado Avalanche, where he put up a career high 26 points in 81 games played (11 goals, 15 assists). He had four assists and 18 penalty minutes in eight 2019 postseason contests.

Tickets to the Charity Shootout at Wheat City Golf have already sold out, but post-tournament banquet tickets are still available for purchase.
