The Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League announced its November award winners, including the player, goaltender, defenceman and rookie of the month.

Leading the way was third-year MMJHL forward Noah Skorpad. In nine games for the Transcona Railer Express, the 20-year-old MMJHL Player of the Month put up 10 goals and 18 points to go along with a clean sheet in the penalty department. Skorpad had four two-goal games, while only failing to score in three of his November contests.

The 6-foot, 190-pound forward is currently leading the Railer Express with 14 goals and 28 points through 20 games in the 2018-19 season. With 25 games to go in the regular season, Skorpad is on pace to blow his career high 27-goal, 50-point 2017-18 season totals out of the water.

After beginning his MMJHL career in 2016-17 with the Raiders Jr. Hockey Club before being moved to Transcona, Skorpad has registered 56 goals and 110 points in 98 career Junior 'A' games. Skorpad and the Railer Express next see action on Friday as Transcona hosts the 1-17-1 River East Royal Knights in a 8:00 P.M. showdown at East End Arena.

Also collected monthly awards in November were goaltender Nathan Cvar of the St. James Canucks, defenceman Derek Wood of Pembina Valley, as well as his Twisters teammate Travis Penner, who picked up the November Rookie of the Month award.
