Josh Tripp - a Swan River product - put together a highly-offensive two-game week, collecting the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Player of the Week award in the process.

The MJHL's points leader came out of the gate flying for the Swan Valley Stampeders against OCN last Wednesday, putting together one goal and four assists for his first five-point night of the season. In fact, Tripp has never even had a four-point night this year. He then followed that performance up on Sunday with a two-point game in Dauphin against the Kings.

The 5-foot-9, 170-pound forward has now improved his totals to 24 goals and 54 points this season, averaging 1.59 points per game. The MJHL's top-four point getters all hail from Swan Valley, while Tripp has a 12-point lead on his teammate Matt Osadick.

Swan Valley is having its best season in recent memory, currently sitting just one point back of the first-place Portage Terriers with a 22-6-5 record. The Stamps will host the Steinbach Pistons on Saturday in Tripp's next contest. Puck drop is set for 7:30 P.M.
