The Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League season has already entered its fifth week. On Wednesday it was announced that Paige Hubbard of the Westman Wildcats is the week four recipient of the Player of the Week honours.

The grade twelve student out of Brandon had a weekend to remember, racking up five points in two games, all while helping her Wildcats teammates to a league-best five wins on the season. After collecting three assists in a 9-0 blowout victory over Interlake on Saturday, Hubbard put up another two-spot on Sunday, grabbing a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win over the Ice.

The current Hockey Manitoba U-18 Program of Excellence Final 27 team member and former MFMHL all-star has already skated against the University of Manitoba Bisons, having committed to play with the University of Regina Cougars in the 2019-20 hockey season.

In two-and-a-half MFMHL seasons, the 5-foot-3, 125-pound winger has 28 goals, 68 points and 44 penalty minutes, including a 17-goal, 37-point campaign in 2017-18. Westman will look to keep the good times rolling atop the standings as they take on the Central Plains Capitals and Winnipeg Avros this coming weekend.
