The accolades just keep rolling in for star Manitoba Moose defenceman Sami Niku. After already making franchise history with his point production as a rookie defenceman, the 21-year-old Finn has done it again.

Head Coach of the American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose, Pascal Vincent has been voted in as the winner of the Louis A.R. Pieri Award as the Most Outstanding Coach of the 2017-18 AHL season.

The Winnipeg Jets have assigned defenceman Sami Niku and goaltender Eric Comrie to the Manitoba Moose. Following a season in which the Jets relied on four different goaltenders to pick up victories due to injuries, Comrie is expected to be with the Moose for the remainder of the season and playoffs.
