    In association with the Canadian Hockey League, the Brandon Wheat Kings have announced their 72-game 2018-19 regular season schedule. 

  • Oak Bluff's Marcus Sekundiak has been selected as the Brandon Wheat Kings' recipient of the 2017-18 Maggie Janz Scholastic Award. The award is presented annually to the player who best demonstrates a willingness to continue pursuing his education while producing on the ice at a WHL level.

    The Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League will no longer be without a captain. On Thursday the Silvertips announced that fourth-year veteran forward Connor Dewar will serve as the team's 16th captain in franchise history for the 2018-19 hockey season.
