    Following two exceptionally close losses in its first two contests, Manitoba's lone representative in the 2018 RBC Cup - the Steinbach Pistons - will be facing off against the Ottawa Junior Senators Wednesday evening in Chilliwack B.C.

    The Steinbach Pistons etched their name into the Anavet Cup Monday night, with a 2-1 victory over the Nipawin Hawks in game six of the series. In doing so, Steinbach has punched its ticket to the RBC Cup for the first time in franchise history.

    The Steinbach Pistons had their extended season come to an end Thursday evening at the Prospera Centre in Chilliwack, B.C. It has been over 250 days since training camp and the preseason opened for Steinbach from the T.G. Smith Centre in southern Manitoba.

    The Junior 'A' National Championship - also known as the RBC Cup for the past 23 years - will be making its return to Portage la Prairie. On Tuesday it was announced that Portage would be the host for the National Championship to be held in May of 2020.
