    It has been a whirlwind few days for Finnish defenceman Sami Niku. Just days after his first NHL call-up from the Manitoba Moose to the Winnipeg Jets - in which he scored his first career NHL goal on his first shot - the 21-year-old blueliner was named to the AHL's All-Rookie team alongside fellow Moose rookie forward, Mason Appleton.

    The Winnipeg Jets have come to terms with recently-acquired forward Nic Kerdiles on a one-year, two-way deal worth $650K at the NHL level. 

  • The Winnipeg Jets have assigned defenceman Sami Niku and goaltender Eric Comrie to the Manitoba Moose. Following a season in which the Jets relied on four different goaltenders to pick up victories due to injuries, Comrie is expected to be with the Moose for the remainder of the season and playoffs.

    The Winnipeg Jets and forward Jordy Stallard were unable to come to terms on an entry-level deal by the June 1st deadline, thus giving Stallard eligibility to re-enter the upcoming NHL Entry Draft on June 22nd.

    The Winnipeg Jets announced on Sunday that they have recalled defenceman Sami Niku from the Manitoba Moose.

    On Tuesday the Winnipeg Jets announced that they have signed 20-year-old forward Skyler McKenzie to a standard three-year entry-level contract, beginning in the 2018-19 season. McKenzie's deal will hold an average annual value of $741K.

    Winnipeg's own Colton Veloso will be playing professional hockey in 2018-19. After signing with the East Coast Hockey League's Jacksonville Icemen, the 21-year-old also landed a tryout with the American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose.
