The playoffs may have just ended, but the appropriate groundwork has been done to lay out the plans for the upcoming 2018-19 hockey season. On Wednesday, the NHL announced its preseason would begin midway through September and released individual team schedules.

The Winnipeg Jets will begin the preseason at home on Monday, September 17th as they host their 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs round one opponent in the first of two preseason matchups. The Jets then shift to Edmonton for a clash with the Oilers on Thursday the 20th, before returning home for a weekend set against both Albertan rivals.

Winnipeg will then travel back out west to Calgary for the second of two games with the Flames on Monday the 24th, before heading south to St. Paul to finish things up with the Wild. The Jets' preseason concludes with a home test against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, September 27th.

The 2018-19 regular season will begin in the early stages of October with the Jets looking to improve upon their franchise best 52-win, 114-point 20178-18 campaign.
