The Manitoba Moose failed to capitalize on their first opportunity to move on to round two of the American Hockey League's Calder Cup Playoffs Thursday evening.

Even without their best player, the Manitoba Moose have been able to score goals and win hockey games. And it was on full display in their 6-3 victory Wednesday night in Grand Rapids.

It took the Manitoba Moose all of 2:43 to score the opening goal of game two of the Central Division Semifinal from Bell MTS Place Sunday. What appeared to be a great start for the home team was instantly trounced by the Grand Rapids Griffins.
