Game On Magazine would like to express its deepest condolences to all those involved with the Humboldt Broncos hockey team. Our heartfelt sympathies are with the players, coaches, managers, trainers and families of the team, as well as the community of Humboldt as a whole.
The team bus was involved in a major accident en route to a playoff game in Saskatchewan Friday evening. 14 occupants were pronounced deceased at the scene, while the remaining 14 others were transported to hospital - three of which in critical condition.

The lone Manitoban on the team, Matthieu Gomercic - a former Winnipeg Minor hockey player with the St. Vital Vics and Steinbach Pistons alumni - has survived the wreck.

Derek Patter, Graysen Cameron and Nick Shumlanski hold hands while in hospital following the crash.
The Humboldt Broncos are a part of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) and had a record of 33-19-3-3 on the 2017-18 season. Sheldon Brookbank highlights a list of six Broncos alumni who went on the play in the NHL.
A Go Fund Me page has been set-up for the families of the the Broncos and can be accessed at:
